(Keep in mind that most states require family child care providers to pass criminal finger-print based background checks in order to be licensed. Therefore, you may not feel it is necessary to do a criminal background check on a licensed family child care provider who is already caring for other families’ babies/children and who already passed the state’s criminal background check.)
